Original Sin
- Spoiler:
- So, Uatu is dead, Nick Fury is the Unseen, Bucky is the man on the wall
I really like everything going on with more of a story to the Watchers. I was intrigued with them since I saw them first in Civil war, now we now a bit more of how it all began

Re: Original Sin
I was really into the first couple of issues and thought it was a really good premise but,as I tend to find with all the "big events" of recent years, quickly became bloated and hard to follow.I readily admit that I force Fed my eyes the last two just to get through it,but have only a vague idea of what was going on,and feel that in order to get the full story you have to read all the tie-ins,and who's got that kinda cash?!

Hmmmm, I guess. But I thought I understood it pretty well.
The Daredevil-Original Sin wasn't really related to to main plot

Ah,the daredevil one sounds pretty good! One of the things I couldn't get my head around was why*spoiler* Fury,as the head of shield, was secretly running about defending earth on his own, when sword already exists, under his command,to do just that, weird. I will definitely revisit it now it's complete because reading comics with such a large gap between issues doesn't help me personally as I forget stuff that's happened etc,and it might seem less muddled as a whole piece I guess

Re: Original Sin
I thought that Original Sin was one of the better events Marvel's out out recently. While it got slightly wordy and overly complicated in the middle of the run, it made up for it in the final couple of issues when all the loose ends came together. While the tie-ins add meat to the bones, they weren't necessary for the story. The only tie-in I read was Hulk vs Iron Man which I actually ended up being disappointed in, due to the lacklustre finale.
The idea of the story, in my opinion, was to paint Nick Fury as a man with more secrets than anyone ever knew, even though to quote the Avengers film: "His secrets have secrets." He;s always been seen as a person who you'd never know if he was lying or telling the truth, but Original Sin went one step further, showing a side of Fury that was probably never even considered when his secret agent type background was thought out.
Original Sin was more simplistic than some previous events, and that's only a good thing. When you compare it to previous events like Fear Itself which was a 12-issue run, four issues more than Original Sin, not including the double length final issue. Sometimes less is more.

Re: Original Sin
Fear Itself was a crossover event from a few years ago in the same vein as Original Sin. It focused on the Red Skull using hammers similar to Thor's Mjonlir- they were forced upon heroes and villains that inspired fear within people, basically turning them into evil versions of Thor, but without the thunder and lightning. It was a pretty good event, despite the stupid number of tie-ins involved with it.

Did anyone read Original Sin Thor & Loki? I'm curious to see how Marvel introduced Angela into their universe

Re: Original Sin
No, I haven't read it yet, but I have been reading the guardians of the galaxy comics, so I know who Angela is. What happens in Original Sin Thor and Loki? Is Angela in it?

Re: Original Sin
Late reply...
As I understand it Original Sin Thor & Loki is where Angela was introduced to the Marvel universe, as Thors long lost Sister & Odins Daughter.
So I assume she's Not the same Angela from Spawn, they simply bought the rights & then changed her. I wondered if they had then made HER the new THOR, but seems a bit pointless to buy a character & then change her that much

Angela is Thor's sister????
woah, ok
In Guardians of the Galaxy,
woah, ok
In Guardians of the Galaxy,
- Spoiler:
- the guardian meet a woman called Angela who is from "Heaven"
Apparently she's from another dimension/reality and when Wolverine went back in time loads he messed up the boundaries meaning things all got mixed up which is how she ended up with the Guardians

Re: Original Sin
Yup, Angela is getting her own comic series this December titled Angela: Asgard's Assassin, so hopefully that'll explain a bit more! I believe she's still the same character as the one from Spawn, even her outfit is very similar, but they've just changed her story a bit! She also deffo isn't the new Thor, she also has her own comic run and they're definitely not the same character!
Re: Original Sin
Yeah, I'll prolly pick that up... IF I like what they did with her in Original Sin, I also hear she popped up in Age of Ultron, so gonna read that too.
